Frequently Asked Questions

1.    How long does it take for my print to arrive?

Once we receive your item, it goes right into the queue for photographing.  Depending on the size of the print you’ve ordered, it usually takes between two and four weeks for your print to arrive.

2. Where do I ship my item?

We’ll send you the necessary shipping information (address & a shipping number) as we setup your project. Please do NOT ship us anything before receiving this shipping information. Any items received without the necessary information will be returned.

3.    What are your shipping suggestions?

Depending on the size of what you’re shipping, the USPS offers a variety of sizes of Priority Mail Flat Rate options. USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate includes tracking, so you’ll know when it has arrived.

4.    Should I insure my package when I ship it?

We do suggest insuring your item when shipping. Although rare, you never know what can happen while it’s in transit.  USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate includes a nominal amount of insurance ($100, with some conditions).  Whatever level of insurance you obtain with your shipping, we’ll use the same value of insurance when we return it.

 5.    Why is the address I’m shipping to different?

Our shipping address, different from the business address, is actually a PO Box. It’s setup differently than a standard PO Box so that we can receive shipments from other shippers (i.e. UPS, FedEx…), if you choose to use other than USPS for shipping your personal keepsake.

 6.    Why do you ship to a PO Box?

Using a PO Box allows us access to retrieve packages outside of normal business hours, in case we’re offsite at the time of mail delivery for that day.  In some cases, delivering to a USPS PO Box can speed up delivery times.  Additionally, on those rare rainy days in Arizona, it keeps the precious contents of any box protected from inclement weather.

7.    How large of a print should I order?

That’s not always a simple question to answer; it depends on a number of factors, such as: the size of your item, where you intend to display it, do you want it reproduced at a life-like size, or perhaps larger…?  We’re happy to offer suggestions on what the best solution for you is.

8.    Why do I have to submit proof the medal/ribbon/badge was honorably awarded?

We are doing our part to discourage and prevent instances of ‘stolen valor’.

9.    Do you offer framing?

Yes, and due to the uniqueness inherent in framing (size, style, colors and matting), we custom quote frames.  Just ask for a framing quote as you complete your inquiry form.

10.   What is this ‘museum quality, cotton based paper’ that you use for printing?

Attention to detail; ingrained from day one of boot camp, and it carries on to this day. We pride ourselves on delivering a quality piece of art to you, and we want you to have the very best. Instead of using paper based on wood pulp (like your typical printer paper), we use a cotton fiber based paper. This delivers an acid and lignin free print. Combined with the use of archival rated inks, this results in a museum quality, long life print. If framed properly and taken care of, this print will last longer than you.

11.   How long will my print last / What is the best way to display my print, so that it will not fade?

As long as you take care of it, your print should last longer than you. ‘Taking care of it’ means: having it properly framed (and we suggest having a professional framer do the job), keeping it out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources (i.e. a fireplace, heater…). Having it framed using UV protective glass will also help reduce degradation from the Sun’s harmful UV rays. Minimizing changes in temperature and humidity will also go along way in keeping your artwork looking beautiful for years to come (so please don’t hang it in the garage or upstairs in the attic).

12.   I have a question that’s not answered here in the FAQ…

Great! Simply send us an email with your question, we’re happy to answer any questions you have about our services; from suggesting sizes and styles to potential framing suggestions.
